Marieke van de Lest-van Berkel

Marieke van de Lest-van Berkel has been a lawyer since 1998 and has been with  Bosselaar & Strengers in the Family Law practice group since 2001. She is a mediator with the Netherlands Mediation Institute (NMI), a vFAS lawyer/ divorce mediator, and Collaborative Divorcer. Marieke works for private individuals, legal expenses insurance companies, and (private) bankers.

Marieke handles and consults on sensitive issues such as the division of matrimonial property, the drafting of prenuptial agreements, alimony assessment, and parental issues such as authority and the assignment of parental responsibilities. She has a practical approach and initially makes an attempt to settle matters amicably since divorce proceedings can often be lengthy, drawn-out affairs that have a major emotional impact on all parties involved.
